Extensions & Conversions
About this project
After attending a course to become a certified installer of the ICF forms it was very exciting to undertake this project. On the initial visit the clients expressed they were looking for extra space for a dining room and musical room and therefore required an extension, I suggested to them to construct the extension in NUDURA and provided them with the option and straight away they were convinced it was the right form of construction for them. We demolished the small rear addition and built the new extension which has worked and is performing very well for them. See our page on NUDURA for more information.
About this project
We undertook this project with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm as it was going to be a big transformation. The project was to convert a three bedroom bungalow into a five bedroom house fitting a new second floor.
We had the drawings to work from for the main structure of the build but when we moved to the internal works the client was throwing ideas to every space from having bespoke bathrooms built including a double shower in the children’s bathroom to hidden laundry shoots from the bathrooms to the laundry room. A hidden den under the stairs for the children and walk in wardrobes in the master bedroom. The final product was exceptional.
About this project
This was a small extension with a huge benefit to the clients, creating a separate dining/entertaining area. There was a main sewer inspection chamber which had to be moved before we could construct the extension. They also requested an exposed brick wall which added a lovely feature to the property.
About this project
When we first visited this property it was very run down and dated. The project was to demolish the side single storey extension and rebuild a double storey which extended further back into the garden and in addition to construct a rear single storey extension across the existing house. The completed project would double the size of the existing house.
Once all the extension was finished we turned our attention to renovating the existing house internally with some alterations. We were onsite to construct the main structure and structural elements of the build completed to a plaster finish where the client was hands on to finish the internal fitting and finishing
About this project
The clients of this newly built property required a storage room as well as a secure garage. They decided to convert the carport. We closed off a section to the back of the carport and fitted a window with a small knock through so they were able to access the store room from the house. We then extended the front of the carport and fitted a garage door.
We also excavated the grassed area to the side of the garage to create a new parking space and resurfaced both the new and existing drive in resinbond. We also added a front canopy at the clients request.
About this project
The clients of this new build had a growing family and the kitchen/diner was no longer big enough for their requirements so approached me to extend their home with a rear single storey extension They wanted to keep to a small budget so we reused the existing doors, moved the garage door to the back and removed the existing rear wall to make the new extension open plan. Once completed we relayed the existing patio.

About this project
This garage conversion came about as the clients were expecting another baby and they needed the space to create an office as they were currently using the small bedroom as an office which was soon to become the baby's room
About this project
This unique house needed a lot of modernisation and it began with the basement which was partly a garage. The clients loved entertaining and wanted a room where they could do just that.
We began by digging a channel around the basement as there was a natural flow of water that passed through the basement that could not be stopped so we had to allow it to pass through without effecting the new room. Once the channel had been put around the perimeter leading to the outside we then tanked all the floor and walls. An independent wall was then constructed to protect the tanking and to allow insulation to be fitted and an air filter system was also installed. The spec included having a bar put in where we formed a concrete bar which we coated with a wax, a large projection screen was hung so it could be used as a cinema room too.
Refurbishments
About this project
The client purchased this three bedroom bungalow with the intension to add a loft conversion to the property adding two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a separate walk-in wardrobe. We then made alterations to the ground floor leaving two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs and a modern open plan kitchen, diner and living room with bi-fold doors opening into the garden. By changing the roof to slate roof and rendering the external walls in K-rend we transformed this dated bungalow into a modern looking home with a high spec and ultra-modern fittings inside including LED strip lighting to illuminate the pyramid roof lanterns. See our page on K-Rend for more information.
About this project
This was a full renovation. We had to remove the chimney from the first floor to create an open plan kitchen/diner and made a new opening for french doors. Fitted new Kitchen, utility room and bathrooms and a full rewire and plastering throughout. The client had a very clear vision of how they wanted the completed project to look and we worked closely with them to achieve this.

About this project
I was approached by the clients and asked for a way to create them an outdoor space that they could enjoy and entertain in and would enhance their garden which had been neglected for some time. I took them shopping for paving stones to my suppliers so they could see the stone in person then we drew up some ideas.
Due to the large bank that slopped down we decided to form a retaining wall with steps leading onto the lower garden which we landscaped and re-turfed. Once we started constructing the patio the clients were concerned that the height of the patio in comparison to the lower garden was more than they envisioned and decided to have a more substantial wall for safety then we originally discussed so I suggested iron fencing between the piers and brought them catalogues from my fabricator.
The clients are very proud of their new outdoor space and they use it to the maximum potential
About this project
The Clients were in need of a little extra room somewhere to put all their shoes and coats as the coat room under the stairs was to be renovated into a downstairs wc. They wanted to keep the porch as light as possible so opted for French doors in addition to two side windows. We completely decorated and tiled the floor
About this project
This property was originally pebble dashed and painted and the clients preferred a much more modern look. We removed the defective barge boards and timber cladding and replaced with new. We replaced the lead roof over the first floor bay window and hacked off all the existing render back to brickwork then applied the coloured K-rend  which I suggested to the clients and took them samples of all the colours to choose from. See our page on K-Rend for more information.

Kitchens & Bathrooms
About this project
The spec I was given for this kitchen refurbishment was for it to look very modern. The clients were asking for ideas so I bought them catalogues to look at and once they had found what they were looking for arranged for them to visit my kitchen supplier so they could see  and touch the kitchen they had chosen as we know it is very important to get it right as it’s a big expense renewing your kitchen. Once it had all been agreed we pulled out the existing kitchen, rewired and plastered, and before fitting the new kitchen we tiled the floor. Once we installed all the units, appliances and worktops we then tiled above worktops and splashback and decorated. The client was so pleased we were asked to refurbish their utility room and downstairs toilet too.
About this project
The client had two separate small bathrooms next door to each other and asked us to remove the partition wall and renovate it as one new bathroom and also to make some fitted wardrobes in the second bedroom and redecorate the bathroom, bedroom, hallway and living room.
About this project
The clients required an extra toilet downstairs and the only place available was under the stairs. It was compact but worked well.
We stripped out the area including the old staircase and fitted a new oak staircase. We also had to move the consumer unit. The electric meter had to remain so we boxed it in with access. We then plumbed and fitted the WC suite and closed it off with a new door, built new bespoke oak shaker style cupboards and decorated and tiled.
Externally we had to dig a new channel to run the waste to an existing man-hole and then reinstate the concrete path.
About this project
The dated bathroom was in need of modernisation. The client was unsure how to finish the detail of the bathroom but said they liked hotel bathrooms so I took the client to my suppliers to choose tiles and bathroom suite and then the designing was left to us. The client was very pleased with the final outcome.
About this project
I first visited this property and sat down with the client to read through a surveyors report of a leaking roof over the bathroom which suggested to replace the roof. In addition the client wanted to update her bathroom at the same time. After some investigating it was clear the report was wrong and the whole roof did not need replacing, the damp was coming from a corroded pipe in the wall.
We gutted the bathroom and renewed all the pipework and protected it so the same problem would not reoccur.  We then plastered, tiled the walls and fitted a new bathroom with a concealed system and created bespoke storage recesses in the boxing.
